Ṛṣiśūra is a Monk of Mercy associated with Lantern Hall in Baldur’s Gate. His name — Rishi-shura in the Common tongue — is a Celestial monastic vow-name meaning “seer-warrior” or “heroic sage.”
He is disciplined, bodily aware, restrained, and practical: a man who reads breath, pain, balance, fear, and the first shape of harm before it fully arrives. In Pale Sap Weakness, Rishi’s mercy enters the Wealdath, where one body cannot stand in the way of everything. Mosstone teaches him to stay with sickness, and the grove will test what remains of mercy when help becomes trespass, consequence, and cost.
