The Monk & The Witch
The Monk & The Witch is a long-form, free, noncommercial, unofficial Forgotten Realms fan-saga about mercy, love, and the consequences of trying to help in a world too large for one body to fix.
It is not a game recap.
It follows Rishi, a Mercy monk shaped by suffering, discipline, and practical compassion, and Maeril, an abjurer-witch of thresholds, wards, shelter, green life, and stubborn protection.
Their story begins with practical acts of care: a body placed between violence and the vulnerable, a ward set at the edge of danger, a meal offered where the world has become cruel.
From there, the saga grows outward.

This site is the canonical home of The Monk & The Witch saga: an archive for the books, reading order, release status, and project notes.
The project grew from a long-held wish to write a multi-novel story set in the Forgotten Realms: adventure, magic, monsters, gods, roads, and danger, but also intimacy, consequence, care, and choices that refuse easy answers.
It is free, unofficial, noncommercial Dungeons & Dragons fanfiction, written as a serious long-form prose project.
