Living Echoes begins with a rescue that should be impossible.

Elisa is lost beyond Faerûn. Chime followed her. Firemind saved her from one disaster only to be left shattered in stone. The trail leads Rishi, Maeril, and Grim to Sigil — the City of Doors — where every threshold may open into a road, a trap, a bargain, or a reality that should never have touched their own.

They go looking for the missing.

Instead, they find the impossible realities of the multiverse: broken portals, living echoes, answers shaped wrong, and a daughter of the living present who should not be standing before them at all.

In Sigil, rescue is not the same as restoration. Firemind cannot be brought back yet — not because he is abandoned, but because the obvious miracle may keep the future wound alive.

Some doors must stay closed until the people opening them have changed.
