Book 2

Ṛṣiśūra

Portrait: Ṛṣiśūra

Ṛṣiśūra is a Monk of Mercy associated with Lantern Hall in Baldur’s Gate. His name — Rishi-shura in the Common tongue — is a Celestial monastic vow-name meaning “seer-warrior” or “heroic sage.”

He is disciplined, bodily aware, restrained, and practical: a man who steps toward harm before it settles into someone else’s life. On the road, his mercy becomes mobile — staff, breath, witness, healing hands, and the hard-won discipline to read violence before anger decides what his body will do.
