Fists and Spells

They chose the road to stay together. Now giants, killers, and the darkness Rishi carries threaten to decide where it ends.

Fresh from Candlekeep, Rishi and Maeril hire on with a caravan bound south. He guards it with fists and a warded staff; she brings spellcraft, hawk-sight, and a talent for making dangerous weather useful. When giants close the pass ahead, every wagon behind them becomes their responsibility—and the power Rishi brings into battle frightens them both.

Farther south, a wounded witness points them toward a murder designed to become its own clean lie. Rishi recognizes the pattern from his childhood. The killers learn both their faces.

Driven from the Trade Way with nowhere safe to stop, the Monk and the Witch must trust the power they fear, protect the love they chose, and find a road beyond the story hunting them.
